We research, care for and share the archives of the parish of Barton Stacey, Hampshire.
This is the only photograph we presently hold of the
Primitive Methodist Chapel
which stood in the village from 1844 until the early 1970s.
This photo was taken from the garden of Sunnydene in the 1960s.
Did you attend the Chapel? Do you have other photographs.
MEETING HOUSES
Non-conformist meeting houses existed in the parish long before the building of the Methodist Chapel. We know of five registrations of houses. Details.
METHODIST BAPTISM REGISTER
We are part way through copying all the entries in the Baptism Register of this Chapel, which will appear here soon.
It was not registered for marriages and there is no burial plot.
